UNPAD conference(Saito)

 


December 17th and 18th I and some laboratory member participated UNPAD conference. This conference is held two days. 1st day I listen 4 presentation from Prof Ph.D and Dr. They talked related to climate change. The next program was presentation by student. They talked their thesis. There were a lot of topic and I feel it is like Graduation thesis conference(In yamagata University B4 student make presentation for B2, B3 and Prof). I saw many research and I was interested in it. But some presentations I could not understand. So, I feel I should study terminology which used in facility of agriculture. The 2nd day I listen 3 presentation from Ph.D related their study. I study a lot of things from two days. And this two day was very interesting for me. Finally, there are closing. While this time, They give Sagae 
an an award as Best Presenter. Congratulations!


　12月17日と18日に研究室メンバーとUMPADの会議に出席しました。この会議は2日間開催され、初日は4人の先生方から気候変動に関するプレゼンテーションがありました。まとまった話でとても聞きやすく本題とは少しそれますがプレゼンテーションの作り方も学べたとても有意義な時間でした。その後は学生による研究発表があり、それぞれ様々な題材を扱っていました。卒論発表会（山大では学部4年生が自分の卒論を2，3年生と教授たちの前で発表する）のようでいろいろな研究が見れて面白かったです。ところどころわからないところもあり、もっと農学部で使う用語などを勉強しないとという刺激も得られました。2日目はワークショップということで3人の教授が自分たちの研究分野の概要について語るというものでした。この二日間で様々なことを学び非常に楽しかった2日間となりました。最後に閉会式があり、その時に寒河江さんがベストプレゼンターとして表彰されました。この場をお借りしてお祝い申し上げます。おめでとうございます。

Locust as a source of food and feed (Rahima)

I came across a pack of roasted locusts at the store the other day and decided to check their nutritional value and study a bit more about them. Locusts are a type of insect from the family Acrididae . They are known to swarm in huge numbers and can travel great distances, causing considerable damage to crops. However, in many African, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries, locusts are considered a delicacy and eaten in abundance. Locusts are an excellent source of protein and contain a variety of fatty acids and minerals. Although not considered palatable by most Americans and Europeans, locusts are an important food source in many other countries.   According to the book "Insects" by Steve Parker, species of locusts vary in protein content from about 50 percent of dry weight to almost 60 percent, making them denser in protein than cows . Full vaccination（Sagae）

We some of the lab members had second vaccination at university. It was so hard situation for me because of side effects. I had heard some news that the side effects of the second vaccine are more serious. It was TRUE. The night after the vaccine, started to increase my body temperature. At midnight temperature already reached 38.5 ℃. And also my bone has pain and "Moderna arm". I could only lay on the bed the whole day by agony. My fever continues till next midnight. I thought my fever had gone down, but then I started to have terrible headaches. Again I spent the time on the bed the whole day. Finally, I recovered fully after 60 hours of vaccination. It was the worst experience in 2021 at least. I wish our painfulness contributes to making the situation better. 大学で二回目のワクチン接種を受けました。結論から言うと、副反応が本当きつかったです。二回目は一回目より副反応がきついと聞いていましたが、その通りです。接種日の夜から熱が上がり始めて、夜中には38.5℃に達しました。きつすぎてベッドに横になる事しかできません。全身の関節は痛むし、モデルナアームも発症しています。次の夜中は明朝まで高熱は続きました。熱が下がったと思ったら次はひどい頭痛です。またベットから動けず一日を過ごします。最終的
