Canal of field in front of yamagata university (Ishikawa)

 

Now, I am making research plan for graduation thesis as I have only 3 months until I become 4th grade student. I decided to investigate aquatic creatures inhabit in the canal in front of yamagata university and their habitat. Canal is usually regularly managed by people. But that canal has been not managed for long time. then much soil has accumulated and many weeds have flourished in the canal. This situation differs from other canals. And environment vary depending on place to place in that canal, then distributions of aquatic creatures probably vary also. So, I investigate how that canal is consisted and how aquatic insects live in each place. Recently I do not research the canal because of heavy snow. I am thinking about starting research on early march.

3年生も残り3か月となり、現在私は卒業論文の研究の計画をしています。私は山形大学前の圃場にある水路内の水生生物の生息状況について調べることにしました。通常、水路は水路としての機能を維持するために定期的な管理がなされます。しかし今回調査の対象にした水路は長年管理がなされておらず、多量の土が堆積していたり、雑草が繁茂していたりしています。これは一般的な水路内の環境とは極めて異なります。また、同じ水路内でも場所により環境条件が全く異なり、生き物の生息状況も変わってくると思われます。私はこの水路内の環境がどのように形成されているか、そしてそれぞれの場所で水生生物がどのように生息しているかを調査します。現在は雪の影響で調査が困難な状況ですが、3月の上旬には調査を開始したいと考えています。

Locust as a source of food and feed (Rahima)

I came across a pack of roasted locusts at the store the other day and decided to check their nutritional value and study a bit more about them. Locusts are a type of insect from the family Acrididae . They are known to swarm in huge numbers and can travel great distances, causing considerable damage to crops. However, in many African, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries, locusts are considered a delicacy and eaten in abundance. Locusts are an excellent source of protein and contain a variety of fatty acids and minerals. Although not considered palatable by most Americans and Europeans, locusts are an important food source in many other countries.   According to the book "Insects" by Steve Parker, species of locusts vary in protein content from about 50 percent of dry weight to almost 60 percent, making them denser in protein than cows . Full vaccination（Sagae）

We some of the lab members had second vaccination at university. It was so hard situation for me because of side effects. I had heard some news that the side effects of the second vaccine are more serious. It was TRUE. The night after the vaccine, started to increase my body temperature. At midnight temperature already reached 38.5 ℃. And also my bone has pain and "Moderna arm". I could only lay on the bed the whole day by agony. My fever continues till next midnight. I thought my fever had gone down, but then I started to have terrible headaches. Again I spent the time on the bed the whole day. Finally, I recovered fully after 60 hours of vaccination. It was the worst experience in 2021 at least. I wish our painfulness contributes to making the situation better. 大学で二回目のワクチン接種を受けました。結論から言うと、副反応が本当きつかったです。二回目は一回目より副反応がきついと聞いていましたが、その通りです。接種日の夜から熱が上がり始めて、夜中には38.5℃に達しました。きつすぎてベッドに横になる事しかできません。全身の関節は痛むし、モデルナアームも発症しています。次の夜中は明朝まで高熱は続きました。熱が下がったと思ったら次はひどい頭痛です。またベットから動けず一日を過ごします。最終的
