  Yesterday I went to the star fruit garden with my mom and dad. This is my first time going to this place, I did just even know this place exist. This place is located in my dad’s village, Tuban East Java. The star fruit is one of the famous fruits here. For those who haven’t tasted this fruit, this fruit tastes very light and so fresh. There is no strong smell. The texture is also very juicy, I just love it! We just had to pay 3000 rupiah or 24 Japanese Yen for the ticket for each person. We can pick the fruits from the trees and eat it directly without having to pay. But if you want to bring those home, you have to pay 5000 per Kg or around 39.39 Japanese Yen, it’s cheap, right? This is why I feel so blessed living in this country. I bought around 10 Kgs for my family back home. In this garden, there are also other fruits such as crystal guava but we didn’t buy it because we already have it at home.

 The octopus protects themselves very efficiently. That species, Octopus vulgaris, is a pretty common invertebrate predator in the seashore in this region, shonai. I often do some private research to search for any animals in the sea, and any time of the year the octopus you can see often. This time, I tried to see their protection against me, and it was very interesting. Firstly the octopus tries to attack my hands with its suckers for a while, then goes deeper into the rocks. I know habitat is not the only place to find prey sources but it is the source of the procession in animals. But it was the first time to feel how efficiently they use those environments for protection. After struggles, finally, the octopus gave up and cought by me.   Ideally, BSF eggs should be harvested (replace the cardboard) every day or every two days to make the empty flute space available for the oviposition. The eggs can be directly introduced to the already set up compost for hatching. The black soldier fly larvae will not consume your eggs unless the eggs are already dead and rotting. This is a good thing because when the larvae consume those rotting eggs, other eggs that haven't been infected will be fine till hatching. In a lot of cases, the failure of the egg is a result of extremely low humidity plus high temperature for instance in small rooms with the heater turned on. In other cases, it is due to unfertilized eggs. Although black soldier fly does not lay eggs if they never mated before, females do have eggs developed in the ovaries regardless of the mating. If the female ever formed a pair with a male, and they got interrupted before they finished, which could be 10-30 minutes, the female will lay all the eggs. Interruptions

Winter irrigation is the process of flooding paddy fields that would normally be drained in winter. It is sometimes called Fuyu(winter)-Mizu(water) paddy. The presence of an artificial wetland there for a longer period of time, which plays as a habitat for organisms, has a great impact on them. I am particularly interested in how the effects of winter irrigation on biota change with different surrounding environmental conditions. I am currently working on my Master's thesis and will be conducting research in two areas. The irrigation treatment there has started. I will also start to conduct organisms surveys and record environmental factors in the paddy fields. 冬季潅水とは普通は、冬に排水されるはずの水田に水を張る事だ。冬水田んぼと呼ばれることもある。生物の生息地の役割を果たす人工的な湿地がそこにより長い期間存在するという事は生物に大きな影響を与える。の自分は特に異なる周辺環境によって冬期潅水の生物相への影響がどう変わるかという点に注目している。現在修士論文で二つの地域で調査を行う予定でいる。そこでの潅水処理が開始された。これから水田での生物調査や環境要因の記録も始まる。

Black soldier fly is now a research and business trend in various countries. These small animals are important because of their ability to reduce waste and produce biomass. I've been thinking for a long time before becoming a master's student to start a business with BSF. Currently, I continue to learn about how to produce quality products and also the BSF business mechanism. I attended several trainings, webinars and also consulted with people in their fields. I hope one day my dream will come true. Based on the results of the training I attended, BSF's business was very profitable. Indeed, some things require large costs such as place, labor and other things. In addition, the feed is sometimes difficult if there is no separation from the type of waste. The thing that makes BSF a business prospect is that not only as a producer of compost but also pupae from BSF we can make animal feed. However, as the population grows, the land that is nothing but soil is shrinking in the face of our ever-increasing population. Our objective in this context is based on the agricultural context, the soil-plant relationship. According to Professor OMOKO MICHEL, "a soil is born, grows and dies". It is therefore important to understand that the soil is a living antithesis. In agronomy, samples are often taken for a simple reason - to know the nutrient content of the soil - to provide the missing fraction of nutrients or to reduce the excess the granulometry of the soil the size of its aggregates (sand, silt, clay) - soil chemistry (NPK) -soil biology and microbiology.   \Heavy rain happening in recent days, every single day. It starts at midnight till’ next morning. I think the rain season is happening as my grandparents taught me every month ends with “-bre/-ber” it’s a sign the rain season to happen. The weather decreasing on these days, it's cold in the night and morning and not so hot in the noon. I was expecting this week to start my experiment about attracting the black soldier fly with a modified trap around my house but the rain would be an obstacle so I decided to cancel and see the weather forecast how the condition for one week ahead. Hopefully, I can have a good achievement!
